A Snowy Day (1st March 2024)
All the above images were taken from the Kitchen window in less than three hours during the snow on the 1st of March. It is amazing the abundance of wildlife in an urban back garden (Dublin 6W area), especially during a cold spell. The female blackcap is a rare visitor, siskins and redpolls are less frequent than the tits and finches and seem to come ahead of a cold spell. Greenfinch have not been common in the garden in recent years. I have enjoyed a longer than normal visitation from the bullfinch couple this year. The chaffinches, goldfinches and a variety of tits visit on a daily basis. The grey squirrel shouldn't really appear in a garden bird panel, but as I was documenting wildlife visits during the snow I felt I should include it.
