I am an amateur photographer based in South Dublin.  I have had an interest in photography from a young age but in 2017 I attended a series of photography courses with Dublin Photography School in an attempt to learn how to get the best out of my camera.  From then on I adopted an attitude of 'anything but auto'.  I then spent three years with Tallaght Photographer Society.  I am an active member with Dublin Camera Club since September of 2020.
Mentors at Dublin Camera Club provided a lot of support and encouragement and in March 2021 I achieved Licentiateship of the Irish Photographic Federation.  This allows me to use the letters LIPF after my name and an achievement I am very proud of.
From an equipment perspective I use Canon cameras and lenses.  Over the years I have moved from a crop sensor to a full frame sensor and have now embraced the mirrorless technology.  The photos featured on this website are mostly taken with a Canon 5Diii or a Canon R6.  All my lenses are Canon L, 100-400 EF, 100 mm EF macro, 180 mm EF macro, 24-70 mm f4 EF and 14-35 mm RF.
I find that nature and photography provides an opportunity to escape from the stresses of life.
